1. Start with a clear topic
When tackling a new chapter, set the topic in the session to focus the cards. You can leave the field empty to resume a general session.
2. Grade your answers honestly
Every card rated low is quickly put back into the queue. Don’t hesitate to use a grade of 0 when you have no clue at all: this triggers the generation of new cards on the same concept.
3. Keep an eye on your pool of new cards
Maintain a stock of more than 10 unseen cards. RagsApp automatically regenerates cards as soon as the queue gets low, but you can also trigger a generation manually from the dashboard.
4. Combine it with your own resources
RagsApp works best when it indexes your documents. Upload your course materials in PDF/Markdown format to create cards that are specific to your classes.
Tip: schedule a short daily session rather than one long weekly block. Spaced repetition has maximum impact when cards come back just before you forget them. Happy studying!
